About Yangon

A very poor city, not comparable to any other in SEA (maybe Phnom Penh, in Cambodia). Not much to see and do, particularly I can’t see any advantages to stay here, as Thailand, Indonesia and even Malaysia offer better option with higher quality for the same price.

It is a city similar to any other in SE Asia, nothing particularly special about it. A great jumping off point to the many other wonders of Myanmar. Differences include nicer and larger green spaces than many other major SE Asian cities. Seemingly safe with helpful people, quite a bit of English spoken.
